The new and exciting Perth City Markets expects to open for business in 2008. The exact date is yet to be confirmed. It will be located on the William Street end of The Esplanade, opposite the Convention Centre Railway Station, operating Saturday 10am to 6pm, Sunday 10.30am to 5pm and long weekends.
More than 150 stallholders will sell their wares under eye catching marquees at this long term Markets location. The establishment of the Markets on this site will help link the city and the major tourist developments planned for the Swan River foreshore.
The diverse stalls will include the best of Western Australian produce, arts and crafts with entertainment, buskers and themed events being a feature on most weekends
There will be prizes and fun for all the family!
As an iconic tourist destination, the Markets will add a fresh interest and liveliness to the city while generating funds for the many community projects sponsored
by participating Rotary Clubs.
This is a first for the city, made possible by generous support from the City of Perth for this Rotary initiative.
Public parking is conveniently located at the Concert Hall and the Convention Centre with other car parks nearby. The nearby Busport and Railway station provide easy access to public transport and for cycling enthusiasts, the city’s established cycle paths around the foreshore give easy access to the Markets.
Enjoy the Markets’ carnival atmosphere and city shopping with a difference in the lead up to Easter. Enjoy life in and around the city you love, come to the Perth City Markets!
